Body Images of Chronic Renal Failure Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis

Chronic kidney failure is a progressive and irreversible damage in which there an occurrence of being unable to transport the body’s metabolic waste or its regular functions, thus requiring hemodialysis therapy. Hemodialysis causes changes body image such as physical weakness, nausea, vomiting, balance disorders, increased levels uremic blood, muscle aches, edema. This study aims determine patients with chronic undergoing hemodialysis. A descriptive quantitative research design was carried out Indonesian dialysis patient community (KPCD) Pekanbaru, sample this 49 respondents using total sampling technique. The measuring instrument used questionnaire variable from previous research. analysis univariate test. results showed that 57.1% had disturbed images 42.9% undisturbed images. It means need nursing intervention reduce image.
